Rod Coil is pulled into the machine by a set of dies clamping onto the rod. Then a series of dies breaks the memory of the coil and is reset to produce a straightened round bar product. The bar is then sent through a cleaning box which gets the material ready to weld, and a bar shear cuts the rod to length.

A Rod Coil Line is the most effective method of unspooling and straightening a spool of Rod Coil. With this, it is also the cheapest method for unspooling Rod Coil.
